How We Built a Chatbot That Changed the Game

The Journey of Building the Bot

How We Built a Chatbot That Changed the Game

Imagine this: you’re running a business, and your customers are constantly asking the same questions: “When is the next lesson?”, “How do I sign up?”, “Are there any spots available?”. Your team is tired of answering the same questions over and over, and you know it’s taking time away from more important tasks. What do you do?

We found the solution: we created a GPT-3-powered chatbot that works seamlessly across WhatsApp Business and your website, integrated with Drupal. Here’s the story of how we did it.

The Journey of Building the Bot

Step 1: WhatsApp + GPT-3

Our client wanted their customers to get instant answers to their questions. We decided to connect GPT-3 to WhatsApp Business. At first, it seemed challenging, but we found a way: using Twilio for integration.

The result? The bot started answering simple questions like, “When is the next lesson?”. Customers were thrilled: now they got answers in seconds.

Step 2: Drupal Joins the Game

But we didn’t stop there. We decided the bot could do more. We integrated it with Drupal so it could access real-time information about available lessons, bookings, and comments.

Example: A customer asks, “How do I sign up for the next lesson?”. The bot not only answers but also checks for available spots and offers to book directly in the chat.

Step 3: Omnichannel Magic

We realized customers wanted to interact with the bot not just on WhatsApp but also on the website. Thanks to Twilio, we made it happen: the bot works simultaneously on the website and WhatsApp Business.

The result: Customers can get answers regardless of the platform, ensuring a seamless experience.

What Did We Achieve?

  1. Time Savings

Your team no longer has to answer repetitive questions. They can focus on more complex tasks.

  1.  Better Customer Experience

Your team no longer has to answer repetitive questions. They can focus on more complex tasks.

  1. Flexibility

The bot works across multiple platforms, providing a unified experience for customers.

  1. Data Access

Integration with Drupal allows the bot to use real-time business information, making it even more useful.

How It Looks in Practice

We tested the bot with real customers. Here are a few examples:

  • Customer: “When is the next lesson?”
Bot: “The next lesson is on November 15 at 10:00. Would you like to sign up?”
  • Customer: “Are there any spots available in December?”
Bot: “Yes, there are spots available on December 5. Would you like to reserve one?”

Customers were thrilled with the speed and convenience.
